It’s that time of the year again when the best elementary and high school student-athletes from all over the country get the spotlight.
The Palarong Pambansa returns to Ilocos Norte for the first time in nearly six decades as the province hosts the 65th edition of the national showdown for premier grassroots talents from May 24 to 31.
Around 15,000 delegates from 20 athletic associations, including the country’s 18 regions, the National Academy of Sports, and the Philippine Overseas Schools, will converge in Ilocos Norte.
The National Capital Region will once again be the region to beat as it guns for its 18th straight overall title, with perennial contenders Western Visayas and Calabarzon also seeking to claim the top spot.
