MANILA, Philippines – It’s written in the stars — it seems like astrology won’t ever go out of style, and viral jewelry brand Penny Pairs has latched onto the zodiac-themed trend with its new Penny Pairs Zodiac Shop.
Located in Power Plant Mall, Makati City, the minimalist local brand’s first astrology-themed, physical pop-up store is open from April until May 31 and is fit for those whose idea of small talk is “What’s your sign?”
At the heart of the pop-up is the new Penny Pairs Zodiac Collection, featuring 12 pendant necklaces that celebrate each astrological sign.
Each piece is marked by hand-drawn constellations and emblems; the zodiac pendant itself is around an inch in size, not overly dainty, but classy enough to work as a muted statement piece. The pendant’s shape slightly varies per element group — fire is more square, air is more oval, air is cloud-like, and earth looks similar to a badge.
The purple, celestial space is compact and cozy — best for two to three shoppers browsing at a time — but it makes the most of every inch. Each element group (Fire, Water, Earth, Air) comes with personality descriptions that help you get to know your star sign a little better (whether you’re a fiery Aries or a grounded Capricorn).
“The new store is all about creating a fresh and captivating experience for our community,” shared Camille, co-founder of Penny Pairs. “By creating a space that feels truly immersive, we’re able to bring the Zodiac Collection to life in a way that’s both magical and meaningful. We hope to offer a place where everyone can find pieces that truly resonate with them.”
Prices for the Zodiac Gold Necklaces start at P3,899, regardless of sign or element.
Penny Pairs’ other items are also available in-store, with earrings, hoops, necklaces, rings, and bracelets ranging from P2,000 and up — a mid-range price point considering each piece is hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and plated with thick 18k gold (about 10x thicker than the average gold-plated jewelry in the local market).
There are other touches to the store, like weekly horoscopes, free zodiac bookmarks, and a limited-edition tote bag for shoppers who spend P3,500 and up.
If you’re outside of Makati, don’t worry; the Zodiac Collection is also available online and at Penny Pairs booths in Alabang Town Center, Glorietta 2, Uptown Mall, Eastwood, SM North Edsa, and UP Town Center.
