ILOILO CITY, Philippines – The senatorial candidates of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas set their eyes on Iloilo, where a combined 1.6 million voters are registered in the province and its capital city, based on data from the Commission on Elections.
In the 200 presidential election, Leni Robredo won against now-president Ferdinand Marcos Jr., in the province. Iloilo also favored then-vice presidential candidate Kiko Pangilinan over Sara Duterte.
With the Marcos-Duterte Uniteam tandem no longer in the picture, the administration bets — “blessed” by none other than the President himself in September 2024 — will now attempt to woo voters in Iloilo.
